8 Eyes Media Group, S.R.L. is a film production services company in the Dominican Republic, and it is responsible for the personal information described here. For any question about your privacy, write to us through the contact form on our home page and tell us it is about privacy.

What we collect when you contact us

When you send the contact form, we receive:

• your first and last name;
• your email address;
• your phone number, if you choose to give it.

The form also records the date, the page it was sent from, your IP address and your browser type. This helps us keep out spam.

How we use it

• To reply to you and talk about your project.
• To prepare quotes and, if we work together, to plan and carry out the production.
• To keep a record of our conversations with clients and partners.
• To protect the website against spam and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising. We only send you news or newsletters if you have agreed to receive them, and every such email has a link to unsubscribe.

Services that handle it for us

We use a few trusted providers to run this website. They process your information only to provide their service to us:

• Our website host runs the site, stores form submissions and measures site traffic and performance.
• Our website form and statistics service runs the contact form and counts visits to the site.
• Our email marketing service keeps our list of contacts, so we can manage enquiries and reply by email.
• Our email provider delivers a notification of each enquiry to our team.

Some of these providers are based outside the Dominican Republic, including in the United States and the European Union, so your information may be transferred and stored there. If you would like the names of these providers, ask us and we will tell you.

Visit statistics and cookies

When you browse the site, our website host and statistics service record basic information about the visit: the pages you view, the site that sent you here, your browser and device, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We look at this only as totals, to understand how the site is used.

The site uses two kinds of cookies:

• Security: a cookie that helps protect the site from automated bots. It is deleted after 30 minutes.
• Statistics: cookies from our website host, used to count visits and measure how fast the site loads.

We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry and contact details for as long as we need them to talk with you about your project. If we work together, we keep them for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

Under Dominican Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data, and the GDPR if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask us to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
• delete it;
• stop using it, or withdraw a consent you gave us.

To make a request, write to us through the contact form on our home page. We will reply as soon as we can and within the time the law allows. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only authorised members of our team can see form submissions. No way of sending or storing data online is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children

This website is meant for professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
